For the past five years, the Division of Undergraduate Education and Division of Global Engagement have held their annual staff appreciation breakfast after the rush of graduation. It’s the divisions’ way of celebrating accomplishments over the past year. Accomplishments that would not be possible without all of the hard-working staff in the division. The breakfast is also an opportunity to recognize staff and set aside time for colleagues to interact across the division.
This year, we introduced even more prizes, continued the photo booth, and heard about the importance of wellness from OPERS. The division also awarded Platinum STAR awards for the third year in a row. The awards were meant to recognize exceptionally high-quality work and an exceptional or unique contribution to the unit, division and/or campus. Below is a list of this year’s recipients:
- Susan Burrowes (Office of Undergraduate Admissions)
- Jazmin Hernandez-Tapia (Educational Partnership Center)
- Lorena Lara Rodriguez (Financial Aid & Scholarships)
- Krissy Loveman (Study Abroad)
- Gloria Lozano (Office of the Registrar)
- Danielle Mello (Campus Advising Coordination)
- Patrick Register (Financial Aid & Scholarships)
- Jamie Siegel (Office of the Registrar)
- Winnie Tang (Crown College)
- Marie Yoo (Cowell College and Stevenson College)
The breakfast was full of fun, games, prizes, and bacon (we’ll order more next year)! A huge thanks to this year’s planning committee: Julie Agoni (Global Engagement), Tracy Crick (Office of the VPDUE/IVPGE), Christine Dindia (Office of Undergraduate Admissions), and Arlene Galindo (Enrollment Management). Their creativity and hard work made this year’s breakfast the best yet!
