Springtime at UC Santa Cruz brings wildflowers, sunshine, and admitted students and their families to campus! From Mid-March until Decision Day on May 15, over 10,000 admitted students and their families are expected to visit campus for tours, activities, and Banana Slug Day on April 13.

Between February 29 and April 5, UC Santa Cruz will extend acceptance offers to first-year and transfer students from a record-breaking number of applicants. The diverse and accomplished applicant pool highlights the university’s expansive outreach efforts, emphasizing its commitment to supporting all students.

The entire UC Santa Cruz community will play a role in welcoming visitors this spring – students, staff, and faculty from almost every division on campus support these events. Activities include student panels and performances, campus tours, talks from campus colleagues about financial aid, housing, and student success, resource fairs, faculty presentations, and community events like LatinX Breakfast and Black Excellence Breakfast.

Additionally, the office of undergraduate admissions will host admitted student receptions in more than 14 locations across the United States and 8 international cities, along with offering numerous virtual events. Check out the event calendar to view them all.

These spring events are opportunities to showcase the Slug spirit and inspire a ‘Yes’ from accepted students, shaping fall’s incoming class and future alumni.
