The Division of Undergraduate Education is excited to welcome four finalists for the AVP Advising and Success position to UC Santa Cruz on June 24th, 26th, 27th and 28th. We invite all staff, faculty, and students to participate in their presentations.

As the academic advising leader for the campus, the AVP convenes the Undergraduate Academic Advising Council, working to advance academic advising as a key element of student success. Through their work and the work of staff in the Office of Campus Advising Coordination, they identify and address challenges and opportunities for academic advising campus-wide in both college and major advising offices.

During each candidate’s campus interview day, they will present their Vision for Academic Advising over the next 5 years, followed by a Q&A and there will also be an open discussion for campus collaborators. These are valuable opportunities for our community to engage with the candidates and provide feedback.

The schedule and Zoom links for each session are available on this document, as well as the names and resumes for each candidate.
